
PM for continuing previous anti-terror policies

LAHORE: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani Thursday invited Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz to join the federal cabinet once again.
Addressing a news conference here at Lahore airport, flanked by chief minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Governor Salman Taseer, the PM said that the government would respect public mandate to continue the political and democratic process in the country and to meet public aspirations.
He extended felicitations to Shahbaz Sharif for the restoration of his government.
“We welcome the restoration of Punjab government and reinstatement of judiciary.”
Gilani said the government wants implementation of Charter of Democracy adding that the committee would be constituted shortly in this regard in the national assembly session on April 9.
PM vowed to continue the policies of previous regime in the war against terrorism, saying the state would not hold talks with those militants who denied lying down arms.
